Margaret Kotz, DO, FASAM

Dr. Kotz is currently an addiction psychiatrist at the University Hospital of Cleveland and Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland. She had been an addiction psychiatrist at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation for the past 20 years. Dr. Kotz has been involved in all diagnostic and treatment modalities for patients with addictive disorders and has extensive experience with co-morbid conditions, including the severely medically ill.

Her clinical areas of interest as well as research have focused on transplant patients with addictive disorders, women's treatment issues, and patient's with chronic pain. Dr. Kotz was an investigator in the multi-site trials for naltrexone and acamprosate.

Dr. Kotz has presented at many national scientific meetings and has mentored numerous students, residents and fellows in Addiction Medicine.
