Seth Moomaw, DO is a 4th generation West Virginian and lifelong resident of the state. Dr. Moomaw became interested in addiction medicine treatment and research while growing up in a state during the start and height of the opioid crisis and a desire to help all of those affected by the destruction of opioids. He graduated West Virginia University in 2016 with a Bachelors of Science in Biology and Minor in Sociology and then attended and graduated from West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine in 2020. He is a current PGY-3 resident at West Virginia University Behavioral Health and Psychiatry with a plan to complete an Addiction Psychiatry fellowship after the completion of residency. Dr. Moomaw's goals are to treat and be an advocate for patients with all substance use disorders and their families as well as well as work diligently to further addiction research and advocacy on local and national scales.
